Role Overview
The Research Scientist will contribute to Actorius' research and development programs in biotechnology, cancer diagnostics, circulating tumor cells and related scientific areas. The role will involve experimental research, data analysis, scientific documentation and collaboration with multidisciplinary R&D teams.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and execute laboratory experiments according to defined research objectives and protocols.
Conduct research related to CTCs, cancer biology, liquid biopsy, molecular biology and related areas.
Perform laboratory experiments, sample processing and analytical procedures.
Analyze, interpret and document experimental results.
Maintain accurate laboratory records, research data and documentation.
Support development, optimization and validation of laboratory methods and processes.
Conduct literature reviews and remain updated on relevant scientific developments.
Prepare technical reports, research summaries, presentations and scientific documentation.
Contribute to research publications, abstracts, presentations and intellectual-property activities where applicable.
Collaborate with scientific, clinical, product and technical teams.
Follow laboratory safety, quality and documentation standards.
Identify experimental challenges and propose scientifically sound solutions.
Support technology development and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
Master's or PhD in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biomedical Sciences or a related discipline.
3–5 years of relevant research experience in biotechnology, cancer biology, molecular biology, diagnostics, CTC research, liquid biopsy or a related field.
Strong laboratory and experimental skills.
Experience with relevant analytical and molecular biology techniques is preferred.
Strong scientific writing, data interpretation and documentation skills.
Ability to work independently as well as within multidisciplinary teams.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
